I had the pleasure of working with Alan when ad a young PC working at Brampton. I was initially a bit taken aback by how welcoming Alan was to me showing me around and being genuinely courteous towards me. Something that this world often lacks. I soon realise that Alan was just trying to make a young lad feel welcome and I’ll always appreciate that. So sad to hear of the passing of such a content character.
